Poker tournaments on TV

Since poker has become one of the more commonly played cards game, the media has started to pay more attention to it, as the audience is ensured.

A good example of that is the cable channel ESPN, which has already been eleven weeks broadcasting the best known poker competition in the world, the WSOP 2009, and has registered an 11% increase in their rating in comparison with last year. And the final table will still not take place until the 10th of November.
However the funny thing is that not only poker is influencing the media, but the media is also influencing the poker. That explains the last changes registered in the WSOP timetable, leaving a great spam of time between the times that there are only two players left in the final table, and the time that they will actually confront each other. And all that is only to leave enough time to conduct interviews and create more media expectation.

In any case, for all those people who cannot follow the WSOP day by day, there is a maybe better way of enjoying their favourite game: playing in the best online poker rooms, and being you the one who take part in the tournament!
